Jack and Bill Rawles were successful again the Pre ’63 race putting in a strong performance to keep ahead of the Paul Kennelly E Type and Will Linley Healey 3000 that were all challenging for the lead in the early stages. Both Paul and Will were forced to retire leaving Marc Gordon to claim P2 in his beautiful Lotus Elite with Andy Williams claiming P3; a great result for Andy after suffering from car problems in the Equipe GTS race.

Jack and Bill Rawles claimed the top spot of the podium in our Brands Hatch Indy double header. Jack started from the very back of the grid but put in a fantastic performance to take P1 when the chequered flag fell. Mark Holmes took P2 in his Austin Healey 3000 with Simon and Guy Parry-Williams in third.

Congratulations to Neil Fisher who was the overall winner in the pre ’63 race at Silverstone last weekend. He put in a fantastic drive to pass the Austin Healeys of Mark Holme and John Pearson. Pole-sitter John dominated for most of the race, but Mark Holme was never far behind. However the early pit stop seemed to benefit Fisher in his Sebring Sprite and he took the lead when the lead cars made their compulsory stop.

In the B Group Equipe GTS race the Wilkinson / Kinsella MGB took a commanding lead from the start and was never really troubled, finishing well clear of the Noel Leonard MGB in P2 with Neil Coker in P3, also driving an MGB.

With the combined grid there seemed to be close racing all the way down the field with the cars well-matched.

Our 30 minute sprint race at Donington Park on 15th July saw a combined grid with Equipe GTS. Jack Rawles and Tom Smith enjoyed a truly epic battle but it was Jack who was in the lead as the two cars crossed the line, just 0.232 in front of Tom Smith. Full results from the race can be found here

Rob Cull took overall victory in his MGA at the AMOC Brands Hatch Indy race on 23rd June 2018. The contest was very hotly contested with John Pearson leading for the opening laps; Paul Kennelly then took over the mantle but constant pressure from Cull saw Kennelly slide at Paddock Hill Bend on the penultimate lap.
